Must be flexible with working hours. 1st and 2nd shifts available Monday through Saturday from 6am to 9pm.
Job Duties
- Performs any combination of tasks before, during, and after surgery to assist surgical team
- Places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments, according to surgery procedure.
- Assist team members to place and position patient on table.
- Scrubs arms and hands and dons gown and gloves.
- Aids team to don gown and gloves
- Maintains supply of fluids, such as plasma, saline, blood, and glucose for use during operation.
- Hands instruments and supplies to surgeon, holds retractors, cuts sutures, and performs other tasks as directed by surgeon during operation.
- Puts dressings on patient following surgery.
- Counts sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation.
- Washes and sterilizes equipment, using germicides and sterilizers.
- Cleans operating room as needed.
- Responsible for checking and responding to email daily.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned by surgeon or supervisor.
- Supplies for each surgery must be requested a week in advance. Also, each day upon arrival, surgery schedule for the following day must be reviewed to ensure the availability of proper supplies for these surgeries. Such preparations are crucial; if neglected to do so, the facilities be forced to unexpectedly cancel surgeries.
Qualifications
- Must have 2 years previous work experience in related field such as Plastic Surgery, Podiatry or Ortho
- Must have documentation of Training from recognized training program.
- Must have a current CPR card
- First Assist a plus!

We have an immediate opening for a full time O.R Recovery Room Nurse. This is an outpatient setting and surgeries are usually done Mon-Sat. from 6am to 6pm.
Duties:
- Receives patient from O.R. and makes and assessment on each patient at admission and discharge and records this information of Recovery Room record.
- Close observation and monitoring of the post-op patient by taking vital signs, EKG monitoring, oximetry readings and documentations of such on recovery Room record.
- Identifies arrhythmias by constant monitoring and interpreting of EKG's as indicated, and provides nursing intervention as per Physician's orders.
- Administers medications, IV's and Rx's and maintains records regarding dispensing of same, observes patients reactions to same, and acts appropriately when untoward reactions occur.
- Performs or assists physician in performance of non-sterile and sterile dressing changes and other procedures.
- Responsible for assuring patient that he or she is not left alone in Recovery Area.
- Post-op teaching of patient, if necessary, and discharge of patient.
- Responsible for making sure patient has follow up appointment before being discharged. Assists circulating nurse with post-op telephone calling as needed.
- In the emergency situation, is able to give immediate respiratory assistance or support including use of AMBU bag, airways, endotracheal tubes, etc., administer CPR, Perform defibrillation and venipuncture.
- Checking, maintenance, knowledge of STAT KIT or CRASH CARTS.
- Recognizes and utilizes safety precautions and procedures.
- Remains familiar with equipment and supplies: their location, function, and upkeep. Re-stocks unit when needed.
- Maintains a comfortable, orderly, clean and safe environment for the Recovery Room area
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- ACLS/BCLS
- Active CA RN license

We have an immediate opening for a confident, energetic Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) in the plastic surgery medical group or practice who welcomes a team approach to patient care. Must be comfortable with out-patient practice.
